D.I.Y. Christmas Gifts
By Elizabeth Murray
If you are someone who likes putting a little personal touch on the presents you give out, we here at the Current OC can help you.
A very unique and easy gift you can make for practically anyone, is a marble mug. First pour nail polish into a container of hot water. Next, swirl it with a toothpick. After, drop your light-colored mug in and let it sit for a few minutes. Finally, take your mug out of the water, and put it on the paper towel upside down and you’re all done!
For a tasty gift, combine 1 ½ cup of flour, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, ½ teaspoon of baking soda, and ¼ teaspoon of salt into a 1 quart mason jar. Than put in a cup of M&Ms…it’s ok if you miss some. Top it off with ⅓ cup of brown sugar. Get it in by any means necessary and add ½ cup of regular sugar. Next, fill the rest of the jar with more M&Ms. Finally, close the lid and top it off with a festive ribbon. Then include this recipe with your jar and you’re all done!
1) Pour the jar into a large bowl and stir
2) Add 1/2 cup of barely melted butter, 1 beaten egg, and 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
3) Stir until combined
4) Chill for 30 minutes
5) Drop dough by tablespoon onto baking sheets and bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes
Finally, a cheesy dog bone treat is the perfect gift for man’s best friend and here is all the things you’ll need. Combine 4 cups of flour, 2 cups of cheese, a ¼ cup of oil, 1 and ⅓ cups of water, then mix it all together! Next, you’re going to want to roll out your dough. Use a dog bone cookie cutter to make the treats. After, put them in the oven for 2 and a half to 3 hours. Then you’re going to take them out and let them cool down. Finally, you can hand them over to your best pal.Share This Item:
