The Dangers of Vaping
By Jackson Neill
In recent years, there has been a sweeping trend across the United States. It started with just cigarette users who were looking to quit. Since then, it has transformed into an addiction all its own. Currently, it is estimated that 9 million Americans have picked up this habit. This is vaping.
Since then, the entire industry has transformed to include countless types of makes and models. With mods, boxes, pens, suorins, juuls, phixes, and everything in between, it is difficult to keep up with the new technology. Some are made to produce more smoke with lower nicotine levels, while others are designed to give the user dangerously high amounts of nicotine. In all instances though, this habit is unsafe.
One of the largest drawbacks to vaping is the health risks. There are countless chemicals in the juice.
Since it’s so new, many of the side effects are still being discovered by doctors. Much like cigarettes in the 30’s and 40’s, we still don’t know just how bad vaping can be.
Although vaping has become incredibly popular, it still has serious consequences. It’s an unsafe and unregulated industry for people of all ages. Know the dangers. Make the right choice.
